Amy Steiner began practicing Tae Kwon Do in 2005 after discovering her passion for it through several years of informal martial arts style training. Her love of the combined physical and spiritual aspects of Tae Kwon Do motivated her to begin instructor training so that she could share her knowledge and passion with others. She was awarded her first level instructor certificate in 2008 and has been teaching with passion and dedication ever since.
In addition to her consistent training in the dojang, which included sparring, forms, self-defense and weapons training, Amy also taught her self to speak Korean (the birthplace of modern Tae Kwon Do), attended various specialty seminars, traveled to South Korea where she competed and medaled in the World Tae Kwon Do Culture Expo both in 2008 and 2014, received her referee certification through the USA Taekwondo Association and has judged both for forms and sparring at several local tournaments. Amy also has over 12 years of experience in functional training and conditioning as well as a year of formal Brazilian Jiu jitsu training.
In June of 2016, Amy was awarded her 4th Dan certification and is happy to be able to share her passion and knowledge with dear friend and training partner, Tessin Bozard through their shared vision that is now MooShim Tae Kwon Do.
