MooShim Tae Kwon Do is a curriculum-based program. What does that mean? At each belt level, students are taught blocking, striking and kicking techniques, forms, breaking techniques and self-defense techniques commensurate with their rank. The curriculum is designed to be progressive, introducing new techniques as they appear in the series of forms we teach, to provide our students with the fundamental building blocks of a strong foundation. By the time a student achieves black belt, she will have all the fundamental skills expected of her rank. The years of training as a color belt culminates in a cumulative test during which the student demonstrates her command of her skills. Beyond black belt, the curriculum continues to challenge by expanding on the students skill set while focusing on improving those fundamental skills learned as a color belt.
